Daniel loves all good music and enjoys playing many different types. He studied music as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan and received his master's degree in jazz performance from California Institute of the Arts.
He has had the good fortune to study with many teachers including Julie Harris, Larry Koonse, Putter Smith, Rajeev Taranth, Morslav Tadic, Wadada Leo Smith, and Martin Celay. Moreover, he has been inspired by the many musicians with whom he has had the good fortune to play.
The unique qualities of the music of Crescent and Frost are the result of Daniel's original compositions and eclectic arrangements and Mary's timeless lyrics and melodies.
